my morning battle
Wednesday, July 11, 2007I'm riding MRT almost everyday now. I usually leave home at least before 6am so that I can be at North Ave before 7am especially on Mondays. I wonder why is it that every Monday, there are tons of people at the MRT(bakit naman kapag Tuesday and the rest of the week, lesser yung tao..hehehe). Before I used to take a cab from North Ave to the office but one time when I got stuck in the traffic and arrived at the office 40 minutes late, I swear to myself never to take that chance again (plus I'm trying now to manage my finances).
Today is the first time that I get to have a seat sa MRT. I needed to fight my way through to that one available space and at last, I get to have it! For the first time! Hehe..:) There's just so many people every morning and kailangan mo talaga ng special powers para labanan ang agos ng tao…hehe! grabe! Even sa girls section, sometimes may nag-aaway pa makasakay lang. Well, I understand them because we all want to be in the office on time and if you're going to wait for the next coach to arrive, a difference in so so minutes can really make you late. That's why, even if nakatayo ako and it's overflowing with people, okay lang what's important is makasakay ako sa unang train na hihinto sa harap ko. Everyday na lang may mga girls na nag-aaway (kulang na lang magsabunutan) kasi kesyo ayaw raw umusod sa gitna, natutulak..etc..etc. It's the most practical transport kasi, when you take a cab, traffic nman ang kalaban mo plus the extra expense yun nga lang at least you're comfortable. You get to enjoy all the billboards in Edsa kasi you have all the time in the world to view them kasi nga you're stuck sa traffic.
Well, tomorrow I'll face that battle again…the MRT battlefield. And I'm ready….before I used to go with the flow, I don't push people just to get ahead or get in first, ngayon….I still don't do that…only if the situation calls for it..hehe:)
Sometimes you really have to fight your battle 'cause if you won't you'll be pushed around and soon you'll discover you're at the end of the line na pala….waiting, still waiting…getting nowhere. Others have reached their destinations already while you're still stuck from where you are standing, unless you take action.
